Lucy Cousins, author-illustrator of the Maisy books, continues to delight. Her newest, "I'm the Best" gave me a much-needed laugh today. Dog proclaims "I'm the best!" only to reverse his thinking and then come back to his sense of healthy self-esteem in the most toddler-friendly way. Brightly and vibrantly, even joyously illustrated, it will give a laugh and a lift.
